Student- Athlete Program—RESIDENTIAL (Boys)

Launching September 2026

TTA Student Athlete Program

International high school education, fused with full-time elite football training — the only program of its kind in East Africa.

Your child never has to choose between a Cambridge-recognised education and a professional football pathway. At TTA, they get both, on one campus, every single day.

Why the Student Athlete Program is different

“This is the only program of its kind in East Africa. We are the only academy building a true student-athlete pathway — internationally recognised academics and elite football, delivered under one roof, every day.”

About The Program

Academics and Football. Together. Not a Compromise.

We believe your child should never have to choose between football and a world-class education. Through our partnership with Sunrise Virtual School, Student Athlete Program participants access internationally recognised academic qualifications alongside their full training programme — delivered through a blend of in-person teachers and virtual lessons, in classrooms on our Tigoni campus.

🎓

Cambridge Curriculum

IGCSE qualifications recognised by universities worldwide — a globally respected academic credential, not a local substitute.

Full-Time Elite Training

The same daily training programme as our Pro Development athletes — technical, tactical, physical, and mental development, every day.

🏫

On-Campus Classrooms

Study, train, and live in one location on our 6-acre Tigoni campus — no commuting between school and pitch, no divided focus.

🇺🇸

NCAA Eligibility

Our academic pathway is fully aligned with international university admission standards, keeping US college scholarship routes open.

How It Works

A Truly Blended Learning Model

Our students arrive from every kind of academic background — different countries, different curricula, different starting points. A single fixed classroom pace doesn’t work for a group like that, so we built something that does.

1
Teachers on site, lessons delivered virtually. Students learn with qualified teachers physically present in our on-campus classrooms, using a virtual curriculum platform to deliver the Cambridge syllabus.
2
Students move at the pace they need. Because the model is virtual-led, a student who needs to move faster through a subject can, and a student who needs more time gets it — without holding back the rest of the class.
3
One classroom, every background. Whether a student is coming from an international, CBC, or IGCSE background, this model adapts around them instead of forcing them to adapt to it.
4
Everything happens on campus. Classrooms sit right on our Tigoni grounds, steps from the training pitches — so the blend between school and football is physical, not just theoretical.

Agatha Verdadero

Head of Education, TTA Student Athlete Program

Agatha grew up in a home of accomplished educators — both her parents received the Metrobank Foundation Outstanding Teacher of the Philippines award, an achievement that inspired her to become a teacher herself in 1996.

She taught literature and art appreciation at a top private university in Manila before moving to Kenya, where she provided literacy and English classes to refugees. She has also volunteered at a local primary school and a Christian university, and holds qualifications to teach various subjects across the arts and social sciences in Arizona, New Mexico, and Oklahoma.

Agatha’s exposure to teaching across different countries, her direct participation in curriculum development, and her experience coaching others in academic, career, and creative skills have prepared her to lead education at TTA. A former varsity volleyball player and accomplished table tennis player herself, her understanding of, passion for, and commitment to excellence in both academics and sport comes from firsthand experience — something she is excited to bring to our student-athletes as they dream, believe, and achieve.
